Scott Schiller joined the University of Minnesota wrestling staff as a marketing administrator for the 2015-16 season after an outstanding career at Minnesota.
Schiller took over the starting position at 197 pounds as a redshirt sophomore and earned All-America honors in all three of his seasons as a starter, placing among the nation’s top-five all three seasons. Schiller is one of just 25 Gophers to finish his career with three or more All-American seasons.
Schiller’s name appears in several additional places within the Gopher wrestling record books. His 118 career wins are tied for 18th all-time at Minnesota, his career winning percentage of .843 (118-22) is 15th best, and his 24-match winning between his sophomore and junior seasons is one of the 20 longest in program history.
Schiller was ranked No. 1 nationally at two different points during his career, both during his junior and senior seasons
