MEN'S TENNIS TEAM EDGES NOTRE DAME 4-3

Minnesota and Notre Dame split the singles matches with each school winning three. Sophomore Jon Svensson defeated Matt Daly 6-2, 6-7 (6), 6-2 at the No. 3 singles spot. Following him, junior Martin Michalowski defeated Andy Warford 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Freshman Thomas Haug followed suit with a 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory over Casey Smith at the No. 5 position.
Senior Adam Selkirk and Svensson defeated Matt Horsley and Trent Miller 8-4 at the No. 2 doubles spot. The match that clinched the doubles point for Minnesota and the victory was an 8-2 win for freshman Ryan Davies and Haug over Daly and Smith at the No. 3 doubles position.
Minnesota is now 4-3 overall , while Notre Dame falls to 4-4.
