MINNESOTA'S MCDOWELL FINISHES THIRD AT THE MT. SAC DECATHLON

A&Freshman Lyndon McDowell took a third-place finish at the Mt. Sac Decathlon in Walnut, Calif. on Friday. He scored 6,837 points. Toby Ware of Texas A&M took top honors in the event with 6,853 points.
Junior Glenn Lindqvist competed in the first day of competition on Thursday where he finished the day in 10th place.
The Golden Gophers will compete tomorrow in the Carleton Relays in Northfield, Minn., before heading down to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the prestigious Drake Relays on April 23-24. April 16, 1999 Mt. Sac Decathlon Walnut, Calif.
