MINNESOTA WINS SEVEN TITLES AT THE MINNESOTA TRIANGULAR

Freshman Erik Foley placed first in the 400m dash with a time of 50.25 and junior Tom Gerding kept upping his times in the 600m dash, running a season-high 1:18.59. Teammate Bob Quade came in second with a time of 1:20.18.
Sophomore Joey Corr ran to a second place finish in the mile run with a personal-best time of 4:11.89.
Michael Ehlers placed first in the shot put with a throw of 53-9 3/4, while teammate Ben Meyer placed first in the weight throw with a heave of 54-7 1/2. Teammates Mark Fahey and Michael Ehlers came in second and third, respectively, with throws of 51-10 and 47-10 1/2.
Freshman Scott Berggren won the high jump with a jump of 6-4 3/4.
The Golden Gophers hit the road for the first time during the indoor season when they travel to Ames, Iowa, to compete in the annual Cyclone Challenge on Feb. 11-12.
