BAKKEN LEADS WOMEN GOLFERS TO FIFTH-PLACE FINISH

Bakken moved up from fifth place after two rounds to a tie for third after shooting a 3-over par 75 in the final round. She finished with a three-round total of 226, with rounds of 73, 78 and 75 to complete the tournament at 10-over par.
Two other Gophers finished in the top 20, Jenny Bruun in a tie for seventh and Karyn Stordahl in a tie for a tie for 11th. Bruun, playing as an individual, carded rounds of 72, 80 and 75 for a total of 227. Stordahl completed three rounds with identical 76 scores for 228.
