HAUG AND MANKAD ADVANCE TO SEMIFINALS OF REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS

University of Minnesota men's tennis players Harsh Mankad and Thomas Haug advanced to the semifinals of the Region IV Championships at East Lansing, Mich. Haug is the tournament's defending champion, while Mankad is the tournament's third seed.

Haug defeated No. 11 seed Brian Wilson of Illinois, 6-4, 6-2, while Mankad beat No. 13 Javier Taborga of Notre Dame, 6-0, 6-1

Monday morning, Haug will face No. 7 Danny Westerman of Wisconsin, while Mankad will meet No. 1 seed Amer Delic of Illinois.
