MANKAD RANKED SECOND IN THE NATION

rankedUniversity of Minnesota men's tennis player Harsh Mankad is ranked second in the nation in the latest ITA Tennis Rankings. Mankad, a junior from Mumbai, Maharashira, India, finished the fall season with a 12-1 record, including an 8-1 mark against ranked players. He won the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships in November. Mankad is the highest ranked player in Golden Gopher tennis history.

Junior Thomas Haug and sophomore Aleksey Zharinov join Mankad in the rankings at 62 and 78, respectively.

Minnesota begins its dual meet season on Jan. 25 against Notre Dame.
