MCDOWELL TAKES FOURTH AT TEXAS RELAYS

ReUniversity of Minnesota senior Lyndon McDowell took fourth place and provisionally qualified for the NCAA track and field championships at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. McDowell's score of 7,473 was just 27 points under the NCAA automatic qualifying standard. McDowell placed in the top six in nine of the ten events.
The 4x800m relay took sixth place. Junior Bob Quade finished seond in his heat in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.04. His time was not quite fast enough to qualify for Saturday's final.
