4x400 RELAY ADVANCES TO FINALS AT TEXAS RELAYS

medleyThe Minnesota 4x400m relay placed fourth in preliminaries and qualified for finals with a time of 3.11.88 at the 74th annual Texas Relays in Austin, Texas on Friday. The Golden Gophers' sprint medley relay and distance medley relay each placed seventh, with times of 3:24.55 and 10:04.14, respectively. Minnesota had one other top ten finishers, as senior Mark Fahey took tenth in the discus with a toss of 172 feet. The meet concludes on Saturday with the finals of all running events and several field events. Minnesota will only compete in two events. The 4x400 relay will run in finals at 4:25 p.m. and senior Marc Johannsen will compete in the A section of the high jump at 1:30 p.m. All results are available live on texassports.com.
