Zharinov and Haug Eliminated at ITA All-American Championships

wGolden Gophers Aleksey Zharinov and Thomas Haug were eliminated at the ITA All-American Championships Friday in Chattanooga, Tenn. The maroon and gold were also eliminated in doubles competition.

Zharinov was defeated by Oliver Maiberger of San Diego State in straight sets 2-6, 4-6 in main draw competition. Meanwhile, Haug faced Chris Lam of UCLA in consolation play and was defeated 0-6, 4-6.

In doubles consolation play, Haug and Avery Ticer lost to Ben Stapp and Lee Walker of Memphis 5-8.
