Lievano Advances in Pre-Qualifying at All-American Championships

ChattanooManuel Lievano advanced to the round of 128 in the pre-qualifying bracket of the ITA All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. Lievano defeated Carlo Contente of Wichita State, 6-1, 6-3.

The first round was not completed due to inclement weather. In addition to Lievano's second-round match, fellow Golden Gophers, Clay Estes, Chris Wettengel and Eric Robertson, will compete on Saturday in the round of 256 to advance.

Thomas Haug and Avery Ticer were seeded in the qualifying round, while junior Aleksey Zharinov will compete in the main draw which begins Oct. 10.
