Men's Track and Cross Country Sign Two Runners

BuzMen's Track and Field Head Coach Phil Lundin and Cross Country Head Coach Steve Plasencia announced today the signing of two of Minnesota's top runners to Letters of Intent. Rochester Mayo's Aaron Buzard, and Irondale's Michael VanBeusekom will both join the Gopher team in the fall of 2003.

Buzard, a Rochester, Minn. native, is the 2002 Class AA State High School league 400-meter champion. He won in a time of 48.24 and helped his 4x400 relay squad to a third place finish at the state meet. VanBeusekom, from Irondale, Minn., has been a state participant in both cross country and track and field throughout his prep career and was the 2002 Section 4AA cross country champion.
