Women Divers Give Strong Showing at NCAA Diving Zones

DivRebecca Cornthwaite led four Gopher divers in the 1-meter diving competition at the 2002 NCAA Diving Zones in West Lafayette, Ind. on Friday, March 15.
Cornthwaite, appearing in her first NCAA Diving Zones, finished 11th in the 1-meter diving with 239.30 points. The sophomore missed the cut to qualify for the NCAA Championships on March 21-23.
Junior Holly Hanneman finished in 15th (236.50), junior Kim Bahmer in 19th (229.35) and newcomer Abbie Bowden came in 26th (220.80).
The Gophers continue competition at the NCAA Diving Zones on Saturday, March 16 when they compete in the 3-meter diving competition at 9 a.m. and the platform diving competition at 4 p.m.
