Men's Tennis Advances to Finals of Big Ten Championships

Sophomore Chris Wettengel clinched the match with his win at No. 5 singles with a 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5) win over Vince Ng. The Golden Gophers needed wins from Alexsey Zharinov at No. 3 singles, Manuel Lievano at No. 4 and Avery Ticer at No. 6 to earn the win.
Ohio State got wins at No. 1 and 2 singles as Jeremy Wurtzman upset Harsh Mankad at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-1 win. Mankad entered the match ranked third in the nation. Phil Metz defeated Minnesota's Thomas Haug, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 singles.
The Buckeyes began the match with a win of the doubles point. Ohio State won the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches to claim the point.
