WTF: Relay Teams Set School Records

The Gophers 4x400-meter relay team followed on Saturday with another record setting performance. Steele and Hupp teamed with Candace Borgen and Kadian Douglas clocking a school record time of 3:41.15 taking third place.
Douglas also set a personal-best time in the 200 meters and tied her lifetime PR at 60 meters while cracking the top-four in both events. Douglas took fourth place in the 200 meters on Friday, clocking a 24.46 and shattering her previous best time by more than a half second. On Saturday, she ran the second fastest 60 meters in school history (7.56) finishing in third place.
Other notable individual performances included Liz Roehrig, the school high jump record holder, tying for third in the high jump clearing 5-7. Gabrielle Anderson set a personal-best time in the mile (4:57.22) finishing eighth. Emily Brown also set a lifetime PR in the 3,000 meters (9:50.24) placing eighth and running the team's fastest 3K this season by ten seconds
Jess Stephan and Chistin Kingsley also set personal records competing in the weight throw and long jump respectively. Stephan marked 54-8 3/4, bettering her previous best distance by more than a foot. Kingsley leaped 18-11 3/4 improving her best mark by nearly six inches.
Minnesota hosts the Parents Day Open next Saturday before heading to Michigan for the Big Ten Indoor Championships Feb. 26-27.
