Brown improved another 26 points in the finals with a score of 342.15 to move up to third place. Brown was the top finisher among Big Ten divers as Pittsburgh's Alex Volovetski won with 355.30 points and Miami's Chris Heaton was second with 352.40 points.

Young rebounded from a slow start to finish fifth overall. He stood 13th after the semifinals with scores of 268.45 and 265.55. Young improved greatly in the finals with a tally of 331.05. Jepsen posted a prelims score of 201.35 to finish 23rd overall but did not advance to the semifinals.

"I am really proud of our divers. They competed very well," diving coach Jason Baumann said. "The experience here against a tough field and doing three-list will be a benefit at the end of the year during the championship season."

The Hoosierland Open continues tomorrow with the 1-meter event and the platform competition on Saturday.
