Minnesota All-American wrestlers Zach Sanders and Sonny Yohn both fell in their respective matches at the NWCA All-Star Classic on Sunday in Anaheim, Calif.

Sanders gave up a technical fall (20-2, 5:00) to a familiar opponent in Arizona State's Anthony Robles. The duo split a pair of previous meetings with Sanders winning, 7-3, at the 2008 Las Vegas Invitational and Robles scoring  a 19-10 decision in the 2008 NCAA Championships consolation semifinal round. Robles built an early 14-0 lead with four, three-point near-falls in the first period and the Sun Devils' grappler escaped from a takedown by Sanders in the second period to pick up the win.

Yohn came out on the losing end of a 7-3 decision against Oklahoma State's Clayton Foster in a matchup of 197 pounders. After Foster jumped out to an early lead, Yohn scored a takedown in the third period, but it wouldn't be enough as the Cowboy's grappler picked up the win over Minnesota's All-American.

The pair of losses drops Minnesota's record at the All-Star Classic to 12-14-1 dating back to the inaugural event in 1967.

Sanders and Yohn will rejoin Minnesota as the No. 4 Gophers prepare to host the Northern Quad this weekend in Rochester, Minn.
