Mensing Sixth in Drake Relays Steeplechase

Golden Gopher senior Felicitas Mensing placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Thursday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. She was the lone Gopher to compete in the first day of famous relay event.

Mensing clocked a career-best time of 10 minutes, 41.26 seconds, the fourth-fastest steeplechase time in Gopher history.

The Drake Relays continue through Saturday.
