Rombough 20th in NCAA 5,000 Meters

Minnesota senior Chris Rombough completed his Golden Gopher career by finishing 20th in the 5,000-meter run on Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. Rombough clocked a time of 14 minutes, 21.39 seconds.
Northern Arizona’s David McNeill held off Liberty’s Sam Chelanga in the final 200 meters to win the title in a time of 13:44.81.
Texas A&M defended its team title edging Florida by a single point, 55-54. The Aggies also won the women’s title for the second consecutive year. Minnesota did not score in the NCAA Championships.
