Welcome to the live blog from the NCAA West Preliminary Meet at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. Today is the second of three days of qualifying for the 2011 NCAA Championships, which will be hosted by Drake in Des Moines, Iowa, on June 8-11.

The blog will begin at 5 p.m.
