The Golden Gopher men's swimming and diving team received 2010-11 Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America this week. Minnesota received both team and individual awards.

To earn the Team Scholar All-America Award, a team must achieve a GPA of 3.0 or better during both semesters. To earn the individual Scholar All-America Award, an athlete must have a 3.5 GPA or better and qualify for the national championship.

Three Gopher seniors--Kevin Baseheart, Ivan Gutesa, and Nadav Kochavi--were named Scholar All-Americans. The trio earned a combined six All-America certificates at this spring's NCAA Championships, including an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke by Gutesa.
