Gophers Head Home From UNI Invitational

Two fall tournaments are now in the books for the women's tennis team as Minnesota completed play this afternoon at the UNI Invitational.
The event was hosted by the University of Northern Iowa. Participants from Bradley, Drake, South Dakota, North Dakota, Missouri, Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee and Iowa State joined the Gophers and host UNI in the tournament.
Sophomores Pauline Gilbert, Emilie Renault, Elianna Kantar represented the Gophers in Iowa.
Gilbert was 2-2 in the tournament and advanced to the semifinals of the second flight. Renault was also 2-2 in the event, winning two of her final three matches after an opening round loss. Kantar finished the competition 1-3.
Minnesota will next play in the Wildcat Invitational on Sept. 30-Oct. 2 in Evanston, Ill.
