After a two-week road swing, Minnesota men's tennis returns to the Baseline Tennis Center this weekend for two matches on home court. The Gophers welcome No. 35 Louisville on Friday night for a 6 p.m. match-up and will face No. 38 Boise State the following day at 3 p.m.

Louisville enters the weekend with a 4-4 record this spring. Most recently, the Cardinals sprung an upset victory over No. 19 North Carolina. The Cards are led by Chris Simich, who holds a team-best 15-7 record, and Sebastian Stiefelmeyer, who sits at No. 82 in the ITA singles rankings. Minnesota will look for payback against Louisville as the Cardinals were victorious with a 6-1 win in the last meeting on Feb. 4, 2012.

Boise State travels to Minneapolis searching to snap a four-game losing streak. The Broncos, who are 2-4 on the season, boast the No. 28-ranked singles player Andrew Bettles. Bettles is currently 3-3 in action. The Gophers last faced the Broncos on Feb. 6, 2011 at Baseline where the Maroon and gold came out on top with a 5-2 defeat.

The Gophers will host a USTA Member Appreciation Event in conjunction with the match against the Broncos on Saturday afternoon. The event will start with a Cardio Tennis Clinic for both kids and adults, which is at full capacity. However, all members are still welcome to attend a question and answer session with Minnesota head coach Geoff Young that will follow at 2:30 and wrap up before the match begins.
