2013 Big Ten Tournament Bracket

The seedings and match-ups for the 2013 Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament have been announced by the Big Ten Conference. After finishing the regular season with a 3-8 league record, the Golden Gophers have been tabbed as the No. 10 seed in the four-day event.

Michigan receives the tournament's No. 1 seed by virtue of its victory over Nebraska, as both the Wolverines and Huskers earned 10-1 marks in conference play en route to shares of the Big Ten crown.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday, with first-round matches beginning at 9 a.m. CT at the IU Varsity Tennis Courts on Indiana University's campus in Bloomington, Ind. Minnesota will face Penn State in the day's third match, set for a 1 p.m. start time. The Gophers defeated the Nittany Lions earlier in the season when PSU visited the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn. In a close match, the doubles point proved crucial as the Maroon and Gold walked away with the 4-3 upset. The winners will advance to face No. 2-seeded Nebraska.

Friday will feature quarterfinal matches beginning at 9 a.m., while Saturday will showcase the tournament semifinals also starting at 9 a.m. The championship match is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday.
