BTN to Televise Tennis Championships in May

The Big Ten Network has announced its plans to implement over 50 hours of coverage during the spring championship season, including select coverage from both the Men's and Women's Big Ten Tennis Tournament.

Broadcasts begin at 5:00 p.m. CT on Monday, May 6, with the Big Ten Women's Tennis Tournament from Bloomington, Ind. Live action for the No. 10 seeded Gophers begins with the first round match-up against No. 7 Penn State on Thursday, April 25, with the winner moving on to face No. 2 Nebraska in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament will follow at 6:00 p.m. CT hosted at the Varsity Tennis Center on Ohio State University's campus in Columbus, Ohio. The Gopher men received a bye for the first round of competition and will being their quest for a title on Friday, April 26 when they face either No. 7 Michigan State or No. 10 Nebraska.

Live streaming of the championships will not be available through Big Ten but fans are encouraged to follow along with live scoring updates through the men's and women's respective Big Ten Tournament Central pages.
