Kremer Announces Captains and Leadership Council

Head coach Kelly Kremer started the week on a high note, announcing the 2014-15 captains for the men's team, as well as a leadership council for the women's program.
"There's a reason this women's senior class has won three-straight B1G Championships," Kremer said. "It's more than putting points on the board - their leadership has been top-notch."
On the women's side, each member of the senior class have been elected to a leadership council for the 2014-15 season. The senior class includes Katie Anton, Heidi Busack, Christie Clarke, Katy Etterman, Kiera Janzen, Jessica Plant, Chloe Portela, Tori Simenec, Devin Ste. Marie, Rebecca Weiland and Blake Zeiger.
For the men's team seniors CJ Smith, Carl Newenhouse and Brandon Hatanaka have been selected to lead the men's team for the 2014-15 season. Senior Erik Larsen was elected captain for the Minnesota diving program.
In addition to the captains, the large men's program will boast three assistant captains this season. Assistant captains include Jakub Maly, Chris Johnson and Andrew Hartbarger.
"Each of these student-athletes fills the role as a leader in their own, unique way," Kremer said. "I'm excited for whats to come."
