The University of Minnesota rowing team will participate in its only home event of the 2014-15 season on Sunday, Oct. 5 at East River Flats Park.

Where: Mississippi River, East River Flats Park (550 E River Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN)
Parking: Due to re-routing of the 10 mile run in conjunction with the Twin Cities Marathon, East River Road and access to the River Flats Park will be available up to 7 a.m. on Sunday. Plan to arrive by 6:45 a.m. The road will be closed and difficult to cross from 7-8:30 a.m. The road will be opened after the last runner at about 8:30 a.m.
If arriving after 7 a.m., please use the Oak Street Ramp or Washington Ave Ramp and walk to the boathouse. Pedestrian traffic is okay to cross the TC 10 mile racecourse on East River Road.
Driving: Due to the Twin Cities Marathon, there will be road closures near the racecourse. Road closures are listed on their website: http://z.umn.edu/roadclosures

Spectators: Binoculars and camp chairs are standard equipment for regattas. The women's rowing parent tent will be set up on the north side of the boathouse, which is about 1,000m from the finish line. The 5k race starts at Lake Street Bridge and finishes just past the Washington Avenue Bridge. Races are "time-trial" style. There are walking paths on either side of the river that offer great views. Franklin Bridge will be closed to traffic for the TC marathon and offers a unique bird's eye view of the regatta. It is accessible via the walking path from the boathouse.
