GopherSports.com: Why did you choose the University of Minnesota?
Peter Lefebvre: Minnesota is a fantastic school academically, and the team here is filled with great guys. I have always admired the Gophers' swimmers and I am beyond excited to be a part of a team at such an incredible school. I also feel Minnesota is the perfect balance of academic rigor and athletic success.
GopherSports: What are you looking forward to the most with starting your collegiate career as a Golden Gopher?
Lefebvre: I am looking forward to being a part of an amazing group of swimmers who will help me improve both as a swimmer and as a person.
GopherSports: Thus far, what has been your best or most proud swimming memory?
Levebvre: My most proud swimming memory was when my team won our section meet for the first time in school history. It really showed me what a team can do when everyone commits to a goal. It was an incredible moment.
GopherSports: What do you like to do for fun outside of the pool?
Lefebvre: I like to be outside, especially when the weather is nice. I like to throw a Frisbee or kick a soccer ball around with my friends. When I have time, I like to cook for myself.
GopherSports: How do you think you will contribute to the Gopher swimming and diving program?
Lefebvre: I hope to contribute by bringing a good, hard working attitude to practice every day to help improve both my swimming and my teammates' swimming. Eventually, I would like to be a part of the travel team and help the team's performance at meets.
