The University of Minnesota men's and women's diving teams wrapped competition at the 2015 Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the McAuley Aquatic Center with platform diving.
Yu Zhou swept the women's diving competitions, earning her third first-place mark on women's platform with a total of 360.30 points-scoring over 70 points higher than the second-place finisher. Fellow junior Lexi Tenenbaum earned fifth with a 245.10. Freshman Mariam Khamis placed 16th (211.00), Elizabeth Etterman took 18th (204.60), Liz Click finished 28th (171.65) and Morgan Justus earned 30th (165.70).
Veteran Manny Pollard earned his second silver-finish of the weekend in the men's platform event. Pollard finished with a score of 364.30. Dylan Zoe earned a fourth-place mark with 358.05 points, while Matt Barnard finished seventh (323.75). Freshman Alan LeBlang placed 13th with a score of 268.05 and Daniel Monaghan took 17th (221.95).
ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota will host the annual Jean K. Freeman Invite on Friday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Gophers home pool.
