The final day of competition at the 2015 Women's Swimming and Diving Big Ten Championships began today with preliminary heats of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and platform diving.
Freshman Isabel Wyer led Minnesota in the 100 backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:59.89 for 31st place. Teammate Katelyn Holmquist followed for 32nd with a 2:00.02.
Gophers Lauren Votava and Rebecca Weiland will head to the Championship final of the 100 free tonight. Votava finished with a time of 48.50, seeding her third, while Weiland finished with a time of 48.68 to seed her fifth.
Senior Jessica Plant will compete in the B final of the 100 freestyle. During prelims, Plant finished with a 49.61.
Sophomore Abigail Raatz finished with a time of 50.20 in the 100 free, while Maddie Hoch swam 50.26, they will head to the C final.
Senior Blake Zeiger placed 33rd with a time of 50.31. Allison Schumacher finished 36th with a 50.41.
Kierra Smith will head to the Championship final of the 200 breaststroke seeded first with a NCAA A cut of 2:06.43 during prelims. Smith is the defending Big Ten Champion in the event.
Senior Heidi Busack finished 37th in the 200 breast with a time of 2:19.22. Freshmen Rae Bullinger and Bridgette Grobe also competed in prelims. Bullinger placed 39th with a time of 2:19.37, Grobe had a 2:26.56 for 53rd.
Freshman Danielle Nack posted a 1:57.15 in the 200 fly prelims to seed her fourth heading into tonight's Championship final. Devin Ste. Marie will join her, seeded sixth with a time of 1:57.51.
With a 2:04.78, senior Christie Clarke finished 38th in the 200 fly.

The all heats except the top-seeded of the 1650 freestyle will be contested at 3:00 p.m. CT, finals will begin at 5:30 p.m.,
