GopherSports: Why did you choose the University of Minnesota?
Chantal Nack: It's close to home, and I'm such a family person. When I went on my recruiting trip I fit right in with the team. They are such genuinely nice, down to earth, fun people and I am very excited to spend time with them. I knew it was the right choice.
GopherSports: What are you looking forward to the most with starting your collegiate career as a Golden Gopher?
Nack: I am looking forward to meeting new people and becoming close with them, as well as being on the best team in the Big Ten Conference. Also, I cannot wait to be on the same team with my sister again!
GopherSports: Thus far, what has been your best or most proud swimming memory?
Nack: Winning high school state for the first time ever sophomore year in the 200 freestyle and in the 4x100 free relay with my older sister, Danielle Nack.
GopherSports: What do you like to do for fun outside of the pool?
Nack: I enjoy hanging with my family, friends, and dog, Bebe. I also love to spend time on the lake, in our backyard pool, and just being outside in the summer.
GopherSports: How do you think you will contribute to the Gophers swimming and diving program?
Nack: I think I will help add more depth to the program which is where they are already very strong. I will be swimming mostly mid-distance freestyle and backstroke, and hopefully help them out in those areas.
I can't wait to be a Golden Gopher!
