Gophers Travel to Head of the Charles

The Minnesota rowing team will be taking part in one of the most venerable regattas in the world this weekend, traveling to Boston for the Head of the Charles.

The Gophers will have one entry in the women's championship eights, which is tentatively scheduled for 2:36 p.m. ET Sunday in Massachusetts.

Minnesota's lineup in the eight boat will consist of Meredith Kelly, Anna Greene, Sara Nelson, Rylie Wargo, Haley Bagley, Kortney Luedloff, Abby Rieser, Anna Cruse, and Catherine Ahrens.

Along with the Gophers, 32 other schools have entries in the race including Brown, Virginia, Princeton, Cambridge, Yale, Syracuse, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan State, Northeastern, Notre Dame, Dartmouth, Clemson, USC, Radcliffe, Penn, Boston College, Boston University, UMass, Bucknell, Georgetown, Drexel, Navy, Columbia, and Rhode Island.
