The Gophers head to Tallahassee, Florida, for the second consecutive year, where they will face-off against the Florida State Seminoles and the Duke Blue Devils. The meet is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 8.
"We are facing two teams that are really outstanding," Minnesota head coach Kelly Kremer said. "It's a good early season test for us."
The Gopher women's swimming and diving team finished the 2015-16 campaign ranked No. 24 nationally, while the men's team ranked 23rd.
Last season, the Gopher women's team topped the Seminoles by a score of 212-88, while the Gopher men's team fell just short with a score of 158-142.
Minnesota will also face Duke. Last season, the Blue Devils' men's team ranked just above the Gophers nationally, at 22.
Minnesota welcomes 20 new student-athletes to the squad this season: 13 on the men's team, and seven on the women's team.
The Gophers also welcome back top performers such as Kierra Smith, Yu Zhou and Brooke Zeiger on the women's team, and Matt Barnard, Logan Redondo and Jakub Maly on the men's team.
"I'm looking forward to the process day-to-day," Kremer said. "I'm looking forward to seeing how it all turns out."
