Pollard, Tenenbaum Join NCAA Qualified Divers

Minnesota wrapped day two of the 2016 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships after advancing two more divers for their respective NCAA Championships. Lexi Tenenbaum and Manny Pollard join teammates Matt Barnard, Jessica Ramberg, Dylan Zoe and Yu Zhou on the list of divers qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Zhou won the women's 3-meter diving event with a combined score of 718.10 from prelims and finals. Tenenbaum secured her spot at next week's 2016 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships with a fourth place score of 654.55.

Rookie Mariam Khamis finished tenth (600.75) in the event, while senior Ramberg placed 16th (578.40). Beth Etterman placed 29th in a field of 52 with a preliminary score of 263.55.

Senior Pollard notched a fifth-place finish with 696.50 points to advance to the NCAA Championships at the end of the month. Zoe finished sixth with 684.65 points, followed by Barnard for seventh (682.75).

Freshman Alan LeBlang placed 17th with 590.55 total points. Sophomore Daniel Monaghan finished 20th overall with a prelims score of 281.55.

The final day of competition at the 2016 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships will begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. CT with women's platform, followed by men's platform.
