LAWRENCE, Kan. (GopherSports.com) -- Day one competition at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West Preliminary Round has been suspended due to inclement weather. A revised schedule of events is expected to be available this evening.
Men's hammer throw and women's javelin are the only events that were contested before rain, heavy winds, and lightning delayed competition at KU's Rock Chalk Park. Neither event was completed.
