Blankenship Paces Semis at Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. (GopherSports.com) -- Four-time Gophers All-American Ben Blankenship led the way in Friday's 1,500 meter semifinals at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, pacing the field with a time of 3:44.24.

The Stillwater, Minn., native took the lead one lap into the race and held off a talented heat of competitors to make the event finals on Sunday, July 10 at 7:20 p.m. CT (Coverage: NBC/Stream).

Meanwhile, Gophers All-American alum Hassan Mead runs in the 5,000 meter finals on Saturday, July 9 at 7:20 p.m. CT (Coverage: NBC/Stream).
