Four Golden Gophers earned a trip to the NCAA Championships on the first day of the Zone D diving meet at Missouri. The women's NCAA Championships will be held March 15-18, with the men's following from March 22-25, both in Indianapolis.

Yu Zhou won the women's 3-meter completion with a 12-dive score of 753.45. The 2015 NCAA champion will make her third trip to the national meet. Sarah Bacon (670.35) and Lexi Tenenbaum (667.75) placed sixth and seventh to earn their spots in Indianapolis. Bacon will make her NCAA debut, while Tenenbaum will compete for the third time.

Mariam Khamis (601.45) also competed in the final, finishing 14th. Beth Etterman (276.55) and Morgan Justus (252.55) competed in prelims, placing 21st and 31st, respectively.

On the men's side, Matt Barnard has secured his fourth trip to the NCAA Championships. The senior placed fourth on the 1-meter springboard with a 12-dive score of 744.45.

Jeremy Moser placed 19th at 297.30 in prelims. Alan LeBlang (291.90) was 21st and Lucas Cooperman (266.15) 24th.

The meet will continue with men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter on Tuesday. Both platform events will take place Wednesday.
