Gophers in 10th After First Day of Hawkeye Invitational

Minnesota concludes the first day of the Hawkeye Invitational in 10th place, shooting 300 in the first round and getting through 11-12 holes of the second due to a weather delay.
Leading the Gophers are Riley Johnson and Rúnar Arnorsson, the latter competing as an individual. The pair are both tied for 12th through 12 holes in the second round. Johnson shot a 1-over-par 72 in his first round and sits at 1 under in the second.
Arnorsson carded 2 under in his first round and is currently 1-over in round two.
After carding a first round 76, Grady Meyer is 2 under par at the 12th hole and tied for 27th. Justin Doeden follows, tied for 51st after finishing 2-over in the first round. His second round 75 is through 11 holes.
Rounding out the Maroon and Gold are Thomas Longbella and Peter Jones who are tied for 58th and 64th, respectively. Jones's 77 in the first round will count for the team score.
Number 11 ranked Texas Tech leads the tournament, followed by 43 ranked Kansas. Host Iowa rounds out the top three.
The second round will be concluded tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. with a shot gun start, immediately followed by the third round.
