Gophers Headed to the NCAA Tournament

Minneapolis, Minn. - The University of Minnesota will be playing in the NCAA Tournament May 12 as they take on Georgia Tech in the first round.
The two squads will face off at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Fla. The Maroon and Gold enter the tournament with a 17-10 overall record while Georgia Tech is 17-7.
Felix Corwin leads Minnesota with a 23-13 record while Matic Spec is 21-16 in singles play. Corwin and Spec will also lead the team in the No. 1 doubles position where they are 20-10 overall this year.
The last Minnesota team to play in the NCAA Tournament was the 2014-15 team who finished the season with a 21-8 overall record. They ended up defeating Princeton in the first round 4-1 before being defeated by Virginia 4-0.
