Minnesota is 16-11-4 all-time in Big Ten Tournament history which includes two tournament tiles that came in the 1995 and 2016 season. The 2019 tournament marks the first time the Gophers are the seventh seed in the eight team field. Last season the Gophers bowed out of tournament following a quarterfinal loss to Wisconsin, 2-0.

Friday's semifinal meeting will be the second time in tournament history that Minnesota and Nebraska will meet up. The two squad met back in the quarterfinals of the 2013 Big Ten Tournament where the Cornhuskers defeated the Gophers 4-1.

BOCKIN CLIMBS THE RECORD BOOKS
Assisting Molly Fiedler's goal against Iowa, April Bockin is now tied for fifth all-time with Corrine Bolder and Erin Hussey with 25 career assists. Bockin currently ranks in the top-10 for career assists among active NCAA Division I players. With the game-winning goal against No. 21 Rutgers, Bockin has entered the top-10 for career game-winning goals with eight.

The Gophers took the last meeting between the two teams in Minneapolis by a score of 1-0 in double overtime. Julianna Gernes scored the game-winner 54 seconds into the second overtime period. The Gopher currently hold a four match winning streak in the series.
