MINNEAPOLIS -- For the third time this season and the seventh time in her career, Minnesota senior Kenisha Bell has been named to the Big Ten's weekly Honor Roll.

Bell led all scorers with a season-high 28 points in No. 13/16 Minnesota's 91-71 win over Rhode Island Saturday. She nearly pulled off the sixth triple-double in program history as she posted a season-best nine assists and added seven rebounds. Bell was 9-of-14 from the floor and 10-of-12 at the free throw line.

Her 28 points give her 1,357 for her Minnesota career, moving her from 15th to 13th place on the school's all-time scoring list. Bell also moved to fifth in Gophers history in both career makes and attempts at the free throw line and, with her nine assists, Bell (421) also jumped to sixth in program history.

For the season, Bell is averaging a team-high 19.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game. She is also third on the squad with 5.9 rebounds per contest. Bell is currently fourth in the nation in free throw attempts (93) while ranking 12th in free throws made (63).

In addition to leading the Big Ten in free throw attempts, Bell also has more steals (29) and averages more steals per game than any other player in the league. She is also second in the conference in made free throws and third in made field goals (73), field goals attempted (166), total points (214) and points per game.

Bell's honor is the fifth for the Gophers this year, as she was also named to the Honor Roll on Dec. 3 and Nov. 26, while Destiny Pitts was recognized on Dec. 10 and Taiye Bello on Nov. 19.
