MINNEAPOLS – Minnesota soccer will hit the road for the first time in over a month following a seven-match homestand. The Gophers head to the Wolverine State where they will take on Michigan State in a Big Ten match up on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. CT before traveling to Michigan for a 1 p.m. CT match on Sunday, Sept. 23.

A PERFECT 10!
Ten different Gophers have found the back of the net this season. April Bockin is the lone Gopher to have multiple tallies in the goal column with three. Makenzie Langdok, Megan Gray, McKenna Buisman and Patricia Ward have all scored game-winners while teammates Molly Fiedler, Maddie Castro, Celina Nummerdor, Nikki Albrecht and TJ McKendrick have added goals respectively.

SHARING IS CARING
The senior class has a combined 50 career assists, which is the most combined career assist total than any other senior class during the Stefanie Golan era. Molly Fielder is the most recent senior to tally an assist aiding in TJ McKendrick's first career goal Sunday evening. Fielder now with 21 career assists moves up to ninth all-time just behind teammate mate April Bockin who has 23.

THREE IS A MAGIC NUMBER
Senior forward April Bockin currently leads the team with three goals and three assists. Her nine points stem from the three goals she has scored over the last three games. Her game-winning penalty kick gave Minnesota their first win over Northwestern since 2012. Her two goals against North Dakota State back on Sept. 7 was the third time in her career scoring a multiple goals in a contest.

TRUST IN TJ
Junior midfielder TJ McKendrick has started in just two games of her career, one of those came Sunday against No. 12 Northwestern. Providing a spark off the bench for the Gophers the past two and a half seasons she broke her 1,077 minute scoring drought by putting in her first collegiate goal. In addition to the goal, McKendrick added an assist in the win at Utah State a game in which she played a career-high 66 minutes.

MADE IN MINNESOTA
Three of the six newcomers hail from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Playing for the only Division I program in their home state of Minnesota are Ana Aguado, McKenna Buisman and Alana Dressely. They join the roster with Minnesota natives April Bockin, Makenzie Langdok, Emily Peterson, Molly Fiedler, Maddie Castro, Emily Heslin and Arianna Del Moral.

SECOND HALF MAGIC
The Gophers continue their second half scoring magic. So far this season the Gophers are outscoring their opponents 9-2 in the second half which stems from last year's mark of outscoring the opposition 26-7 in the final 45 minutes. The Gophers have scored in the final 45 minutes of regulation in three of their last four matches.

SERIES HISTORY
Minnesota has won four of the last six meetings against Michigan State. The Gophers hold a narrow all-time margin of 13-12-2 on the Spartans. Last year's meeting at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium saw lots of scoring as the Gophers defeated the visiting Spartans 7-1. In the match, April Bockin etched her name into the Gophers record books with a Gophers individual match record four assists while adding a goal for six points.

The Gophers lead the all-time series against Michigan 14-8-5. The series has been known for neck-and-neck battles over the years. In the last 17 meetings between the Big Ten foes there have been five ties, three of which ended in a scoreless battle, while the remaining games have all been decided by a goal. Last year's meeting ended in a 2-2 tie at ELR.
