‘U’ Releases 2019-20 Track & Field Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota track & field program has announced its 2019-20 schedule with four home meets highlighting this year's competition slate.
Maroon & Gold fans will have three opportunities to check out the newly renovated University of Minnesota Fieldhouse starting with the Minnesota Open on Saturday, Jan. 11. The Gophers also host the Jack Johnson Classic on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1. The final home meet of the indoor campaign stands as the Minnesota Cold Classic on Friday, Feb. 21.
The University of Minnesota will also proudly host the Brave Like Gabe Twilight on Wednesday, April 22 at the University of Minnesota Track and Field Stadium as the Gophers honor the life and legacy of Gabriele Anderson Grunewald.
In addition to Minnesota's home meets, the 2019-20 schedule is highlighted by the 2020 Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 28-29) in Geneva, Ohio, the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships (March 13-14) in Albuquerque, N.M., the 2020 Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 15-17) in Madison, Wis., the NCAA West Preliminary (May 28-30) in Lawrence, Kan., and the 2020 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 10-13) in Austin, Texas.
