Throughout the offseason we will take a look at one of Minnesota's touchdowns from the 2018 season in what we are calling Touchdown Tuesday. Today we look at Rashod Bateman's first career touchdown.
With less than one minute remaining in the first half at Maryland, receiver Rashod Bateman found the end zone for the first time in his career. Quarterback Zack Annexstad engineered a five-play, 71-yard drive in 40 seconds as Minnesota scored late in the first half when Annexstad connected with Bateman for a 17-yard score.

Quarterback Zack Annexstad engineered a five-play, 71-yard drive in 40 seconds as Minnesota scored late in the first half when Annexstad connected with Bateman for a 17-yard score.
Bateman started all 13 games in 2018 and set school freshman records in receptions (51) and receiving yards (704). He also caught six touchdowns (one shy of tying the freshman record) and made at least one catch in all 13 games. His 51 catches tied for the 19th most in a season for a Gopher. Bateman had two 100-yard receiving games and he caught a career high seven passes three times in 2018.
