'U' Cancels Minnesota Spring Open

MINNEAPOLIS – With inclement weather in the forecast for the remainder of the week, the University of Minnesota track & field program has canceled the Minnesota Spring Open, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at the University of Minnesota Track and Field Stadium.
Friday's high school meet at the facility has also been canceled. Neither meet will be rescheduled.
Fans will still be able to catch the Maroon & Gold in action at the newly constructed outdoor venue with the Women's Twilight Meet on Wednesday, April 24 and the Men's Twilight Meet on Wednesday, May 1.
Minnesota returns to action next weekend with a pair of meets – the Duke Invite on April 19-20 and the Concordia-St. Paul Lady Bear Twilight on April 19.
