Gopher Divers Set for Tennessee Invitational

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota diving team is set to open the 2020 portion of their present campaign on Friday as they travel to Knoxville, Tenn. for the Tennessee Diving Invitational.
From Jan. 3-5, Minnesota and a collection of 12 other programs will be represented at the event: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, ECU, Iowa State, LSU, N.C. State, Princeton, SMU, Tennessee and Virginia.
On Friday, the three-day invite will begin with the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter springboard at 10:30 a.m. CST. Thereafter, finals for the men's 1-meter will take place at 12:35 p.m., while the women's 1-meter finals are scheduled for 1:25 p.m.
Saturday's schedule will look quite similar, with the men and women simply flip-flopping events. Platform diving will begin on Sunday, with the men getting started at 9 a.m. and the women following suit at 11:30 a.m. There will not be a finals session on the platform.
