"Fun start to the year -- it's good to be back after almost a month away," head coach Brad Frost said. "As you noticed, it was a little sloppy throughout the game, but in the second period, being able to get those four, they were obviously big goals, and we were able to continue to apply the pressure. Overall, a good start -- definitely some things we need to clean up, but we'll do that as we continue on here."
Notable
With the win, Minnesota extended its NCAA-best unbeaten streak to 11 games, going 8-0-3 since Oct. 26.
