Gophers Dominate Nebraska On National Stage

The No. 8 University of Minnesota Women's Gymnastics team recorded their second-highest home team score at Maturi Pavilion with a 197.400-195.700 win over No. 15 Nebraska on the Big Ten Network. The Gophers move to 5-0 to remain undefeated in the conference and are 7-1 overall.
Minnesota outscored Nebraska on all four events and earned 11 podium finishes.

As a team, the Gophers posted a 49.150, their lowest score of the night. Maddie Quarles and Loper tied for second with a pair of 9.875s. Ramler finished fourth with a 9.850 and Sales finished sixth with 9.800.

The Gophers shined on bars, tying the program's second-highest score, which was set a fews weeks ago at Ohio state. Everyone in the lineup scored a 9.800 or higher en route to a team score of 49.500.
Kristen Quaglia led off with a beautiful routine for a new career-high of 9.875, and finished in fourth place. Ramler earned the event title with a 9.975, tying the program record and her career-high. Ivy Lu and Sales followed, tying for second with a set of 9.900s, and Loper tied for fifth with a 9.850.
Beam
The success from bars continued on beam, with Minnesota putting up a 49.500 to secure the top three spots on podium. The team's score ties for fourth all-time. For the second time of the night, Minnesota had everyone in the lineup post a 9.800 or better. Ramler won her fourth title on the event with 9.975, earning one 10 from a judge. Lu (9.925) finished second, while Loper (9.875) and Sales (9.875) tied for third.
Floor
Minnesota closed out the night on floor, posting a 49.250. Loper won her fourth event title on floor, recording a 9.900. Paige Williams tied for second with a 9.875 and Halle Remlinger finished fifth with a score of 9.850.

After two weeks at home, the Gophers will pack up and head to Toledo, Ohio for Big 5s at Elevate the Stage. Minnesota is set to compete on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. CT. The Gophers will face Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and Penn State.
