Ramler Named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week

Lexy Ramler was named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for the second time this season and 12th time of her career. The award comes after Ramler helped the Gophers take down No. 15 Nebraska this past Sunday night.
The junior set a season-high in the all-around with a 39.625 to tie for eighth all-time and take first place. As usual, Ramler anchored bars and beam, and put up the top performances of the night to take first on each event.Â
Ramler's 9.975 on bars ties both her career-high and the program record. She was close to earning her first perfect 10 on the event, being awarded a 10.00 and a 9.95 from the judges. The success continued on to beam, where she shined once again. Ramler's perfect routine earned a 10.00 and 9.95 from the judges.
Ramler put up a 9.850 on vault and ended the night with a 9.825 on floor.

The Gophers will pack up and head to Toledo, Ohio for Big 5s at Elevate the Stage this weekend.. Minnesota is set to compete on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. CT. The Gophers will face Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and Penn State.
