Emma Slevin Finishes Fourth on Beam at FIG World Challenge Cup

PARIS, FRANCE -- Minnesota junior gymnast Emma Slevin competed for Ireland at the 2025 FIG World Challenge Cup this past weekend. She placed fourth in the world on balance beam among 50 competitors. 

In the qualifying round, Slevin posted a score of 12.666 on beam placing eighth. She stepped in up in the finals, earning a 12.700 score, earning fourth place out of the eight finalists. 

Hailing from Galway, Ireland, Emma Slevin comes to Minnesota with two years of eligibility remaining after competing collegiately overseas. She signed with the Gophers in August after visiting officially in July. 

Slevin has competed internationally for several years and was the first Irish female gymnast to qualify for a senior all-around final at the European Championships and at the World Championships, doing both in 2021. She was also the 2022 and 2024 Northern European all-around champion and a medalist on bars, beam and floor in 2024. Slevin earned the bars title at the Irish National Championships in 2025.
